Products from Green Toys are made from recycled milk jugs, BPA free, very sturdy, no external coatings and dishwasher safe. They are packaged using only recycled and recyclable materials and printed with soy inks. We can feel good about dishing up meals for our babies or toddlers while helping protect our planet too!
What more could you want!
These bowls, come in a package of 4, are not very big but they are deeper than some I have found (less spills that way), and are perfect for those first feedings, self feeders, and toddlers. The bowls fit perfectly in my hand which made it easier for me to feed G. I love the fact that once G gets a little older she can keep her snacks in them plus they will be the perfect size for her to play house with. G wasn't feeling quite up to par for a photo shoot while she tried to eat but Mommy had to post, so on we went!
Monkey See Monkey Do! She definitely gets an A for effort!
G isn’t able to feed herself very well with any child sized flatware yet, but once she can they will be just right for her. For now they are perfect for her to experiment with. Each of the four forks and spoons in the set have soft edges and were very easy for me to handle.
Please note that the pretty colors can attract a little one so they just might reach out to hold them for themselves.
Being a stay at home mom who not only runs her own business while running the household, I had to try them in the dishwasher and microwave. Both the bowls and flatware have done well in the top rack of our dishwasher. They also did well in the microwave but I only put Gracie’s food in for about 15-20 seconds so her food isn’t too hot.
I really like these because what you use to feed your little one is as important as what you are actually feeding them! Meal time just turned “green” for infants and toddlers.
Made in California-A state known for strict toy safety and environmental laws. It's cool to buy USA, but also think about this: transportation is one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gasses. We all know driving less is good for mother nature, but did you ever think about how many miles a toy logs before it ends up in your local store? Every step in the process, from milk container recycling to toy production to final assembly, occurs in California. Our raw materials and toys aren't shipped from overseas, which saves a lot of energy and reduces greenhouse gasses. It also guarantees your toys won't get seasick before they get to your home!
Environmental Packaging-Green Toys environmental mission even extends to our packaging. We strive to minimize packaging, and all of our boxes use as little material as possible. All Green Toys products are packaged in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties, and are 100% recyclable. So, not only are they earth-friendly and ready for your recycling bin, they are really easy to open for those little fingers just itching to get at the toys!!
I was also given the Green Toys Stacker to review which is made out of the same material as the Feeding Bowls and the Feeding Spoons and Forks.
The Green Toys™ Stacker takes a classic toy and makes it safer and more playful. The eight whimsically colored nesting pieces stack easily from large to small, while also allowing little builders to use their imagination and stack in any order. Little ones can develop hand-eye coordination and color recognition while having plenty of Good Green Fun™. Most importantly, the Green Toys Stacker is safe. Its unique design has no center post. No BPA, PVC, phthalates, or external coatings. This Stacker is made in the USA from 100% recycled plastic milk containers which save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Packaged using only recycled and recyclable materials and printed with soy inks.
The stacker has now become one of G’s favorites. When I gave the stacker to her, she started off by taking the stack apart to check each piece out. While putting aside each piece, two were knocked into one another. This she liked for sure because the next thing she did was take the two and started to bang them together as if she was using them to clap. Each piece of the stacker has two tiny holes that serves no purpose but to help in the manufacturing of the stacker. G found a better purpose. She decided that the little knobbed ends with the two tiny holes were perfect to blow into! She kind of sounds like Darth Vader doing that and my husband who is a fan of Star Wars thought it was the best thing ever. Being only 10 months she hasn’t quite gotten the concept of stacking them all but she is working on it. I stack them and of course her she squeals when she gets to knock them down. After that happens the routine starts over. Banging two together, blowing on the knobbed ends and me stacking them right back up again.

I have been searching different site for some great green toys for my kids. I really like these ideas, but my children are a little older than that. If you are in the same situation as I was, and are looking for toys for older children, try this website that I found. www.greenostrich.com/greentoys, this website is full of a large variety of toys and gifts of all ages and tastes. This is where I am buying my green toys.
ReplyDeleteIf you'll think about it, their business does a lot a great things. There are few companies that uses recycled plastic bottles to create different toys. I think it's a good idea.
