The Soft Landing {Giveaway}

For this review I was sent the Innate MC2 stainless steel container from The Soft Landing. I asked my husband to try it out because he works outside of the home and thought a males opinion would be a nice change.  Rich is usually on the road which means he either eats in his car or dines in a restaurant with his customer. When he is actually going to be in the office to play "catch up" I try to offer him leftovers whenever possible.  He tends to work right through lunch or snacks on granola bars and such so obviously a good meal, even if it is leftovers, would help him to get through his day without any headaches caused from lack of eating nutritionally.  

Rich is only hesitant to carry his lunch to work again because whatever it was that I would send, it had to be warmed up. I would send it in one of our glass dishes that has a plastic lid so it would be easier to warm up.  BUT when it came to being sealed securely this was pretty much a hit or miss but more so a HUGE miss.  Obviously not a good thing when you get to work and there are juices from your lunch that are now on your dress pants. Needless to say I have been on the lookout for an item to hold even soup that was not made out of plastic and could be microwaved.

This was great for packing leftovers! It holds about the perfect portions for a lunch. He really liked the durability of stainless steel and the ability to microwave using the lid which you can you also partially pop out the lid to expand the capacity. When he was ready to eat, he poped open the bowl, dump his food in the expanded lid, and warmed it up in the microwave until was hot. BONUS-in the weeks that he has been using the innate MC2 stainless steel container, it has never leaked, even on commutes when there was road construction!  

This is now Rich’s go-to container whenever he needs to work in the office for the day and it's the envy of his co-workers. Leftovers are easily warmed in the silicone lid in the microwave. The MC2 looks great, has a lot of space and is easy to clean. It's nice not to have use plastics and have something that will last a long time. Great design with the expandable lid. He and I both just wish that there were other sizes. 

The innate MC2 stainless steel container eliminates the need for use-and-toss plastic baggies, wraps and aluminum foil, saving money and natural resources over time. Since stainless steel containers do not leach harmful chemicals like certain plastics do, they are a healthy, eco-friendly lunch-time alternative.
