Our children are the future, the next generation, the ones who can turn our world around. We must start with the individual, and as Ghandi once said, "be the change we wish to see in the world today."
This post/giveaway will be information only about the tees manufactured by Ragaboo. After reading all about them you will see why I chose to offer their t-shirts at My Baby's Green.
So you may have peace of mind knowing that inside and out Ragaboo is doing their best to provide you with the safest, most sustainable, cutest t’s and designs around. You will find many to choose from that will say what you feel about being eco-friendly.
We hope you and your kids love ‘em as much as we do.
About Ragaboo-
In less than eight years my husband and I had four precious boys, and we very rapidly developed a keen sense of awareness of Mother Nature and our impact on it. While fine-tuning maternal instincts on the fly, we simultaneously generated a deep connection to our Mother Earth and it's Creator. Suddenly, the land upon which we walk, the water we drink, the foods we eat, the thoughts we create, and even the clothes we wear became drastically more important to us. My innocent little creations from God gave me a whole new perspective on all aspects of life.
All of this, I try to teach my boys. They're slowly, but surely getting it. BUT, they're still boys. Dirty, muddy, stain-perfecting little boys. Hence, my t-shirts. Super comfy, durable, colored (never white), sustainable, organic bamboo tees with a positive, simple message for my sons and for all the other children in the world (hopefully!).
Ragaboo is dedicated to supporting organic agriculture (and organic everything, really). Our bamboo and cotton is certified organic which means it is free from synthetic chemicals that can potentially harm our land, water, animals, and ourselves. This is particularly important when we’re talking about our children. Not only do we use certified organic bamboo and cotton fabric, but we also use low-impact dyes for our garments. We do not cut corners.
Here’s an interesting fact:
A quarter of a pound of pesticides and other agricultural chemicals are used to produce one cotton t-shirt! Many of these chemicals are known carcinogens. We’re talking about "non-organic” cotton, the kind we all typically buy in the store. In addition to the chemicals used to grow the cotton, most often
chlorine bleach, formaldehyde, and high-impact dyes are used to complete the production process. When we purchase and use or wear this cotton we expose ourselves and our children to much of these chemicals.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT OUR COTTON:
Certified organic: Did you know that 25% of the world's pesticides are sprayed on cotton? Rest assured that this tshirt will NOT contribute any synthetic chemicals to our lovely Mother Earth (OCIA International organic certified.)
Saves energy: Planes and tractors are not used to chemically fertilize cotton plants.
Higher quality fabric: It's more durable as the cotton plant itself is stronger and longer lasting. Organic cotton is softer, too.
Protects our water: According to the Environmental Protection Agency, pesticides (some carcinogenic)
contaminate groundwater in 38 states.
Hypoallergenic: Those who are sensitive to chemicals don't need to worry about harmful toxic residues.
Free from GMO's: That means the cotton seeds are not genetically modified or engineered. In other words, they are natural seeds just as nature intended them to be.
IT'S JUST BETTER!
Local, green-screen printing-Even the ink we use for screen printing our t-shirts is eco-friendly (lead free). We found great local, Floridian screen printers who are dedicated to upholding our Ragaboo standards (www.classicshirts.com). In addition, our fabric is dyed with low reactive dyes which is a bonus for our Earth, its water, and those with sensitive skin.
