Dandelion-Organic Canvas Tote Bag

I have or maybe I should say HAD a thing for designer bags.  I loved them all.  Don’t get me wrong-I didn’t have tons but I did have a black, brown, red, purple, ivory and yet another black but this one was shiny.  Even though they cost more, they certainly have lasted. The black one had been used for over 7 years and still looks as good as new.  I was still using it and my purple one the most up until my darling Gracie came along. Things had to change because there was absolutely no way I was or even try to carry Gracie, a diaper bag plus a purse that most were as big as a diaper bag! 

So my little thing with purses went from designer bags to awesome diaper/carry all bags :)  I now have five.  I know that sounds like a lot but as you know, you usually get at least one at the baby shower.  My excuse for the other four?  Well, one was for when I would be dressing up a little, or for when I would be going back to work and needed a more mod looking one (like that ever happened). The other three are from my website so of course I had to try them out.  One really shouldn’t count since it’s small and used for quick errands and for when I take Gracie for a walk around the neighborhood.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

The outside features large pocket with snaps, 1 large open pocket and 2 elastic pouches. Functional and fashionable!  What’s better than that? 

I tried the bag out when I traveled to see my eldest son, Adam, and his girlfriend, Ashely.  At the beach-I used it to carry 7 magazines that  are used for research purposes (which I donated again at the rest areas that we passed), sunscreen, 3 stainless steel water bottles, sunglasses, a change of clothes for Gracie, cover ups for her and myself, two snack bags, and a large beach towel.  It was stuffed but all smaller item were able to be placed in separate pouches.  I think it would have been best for just one persons’ belongings but again, I do not like carrying multiple bags so I made it work.

For the next use we went strolling down the streets by the beach-this time it was perfect.  I was able to carry all the necessities that a parent needs when out for the day with a baby. I also included a couple small toys like her favorite Sophie the Giraffe, her Pink Teething Bunny Blanket, and instead of one extra set of clothes I brought two, PLUS an extra wet bag for her cloth diapers-wet bags with used cloth diapers went in the stroller basket. Yes, I stuck to using cloth while being out on the town for an entire day from right after breakfast until right after dinner.  

This bag can be used for other than a diaper bag or beach bag. Ashley uses hers to carry her laptop in, her keys, cell, her lunch, a stainless steel water bottle, and other essentials. If her laptop isn’t needed, she uses it not only for her essentials but to also carry her books to college in.

In my opinion, this sturdy bag is a must for parents, for students and teachers!  Lead by example  by bringing your environmental message to the forefront. Show the world that you’re ready for something different!
