Lunchbox Reviews-Oompa Giveaway

First of all, you must know that I have an addiction to my iPhone, iPad and iTunes.  Or maybe I should say we all do and sadly that includes Gracie. After all, how do you think we got her to finally crawl?  Yes, I know, shame on us. It does make me feel better knowing that my husband is the one that came up with the idea :)

The problem we are having with iTunes is being able to EASILY find age appropriate apps for Gracie. Unless we knew the exact name of the app it would be a never ending search.  

Solution solved-I found, or I should say they found me, Lunchbox Reviews where the best kids apps are reviewed.  To find a kids app they have a box on the right where you can put in the age, category and device. You can even choose to display all, paid ore free!  How EASY is that?  in my opinion Lunchbox Reviews has been heaven sent for this tech addicted family! 

I chose books for toddlers and 5 pages of 20 appeared!  Next I chose a book, Sesame Street:  The Firehouse from Sesame Street. 

 I was able to read all the reviews, see some great screenshots (showed 5!), user and critics ratings.  If I liked it I could click to purchase on iTunes.  I love it!  A nice feature is their tab labeled-Today's Top Ten-Best Kid Apps and then the Top 3 Of Everything. Both can seen on their homepage.

Isn’t that awesome?  Oh wait, I am supposed to be cutting back on this addiction. Hmm, maybe next year it will be one of my New Year’s Resolutions? With Lunchbox reviews around, I seriously doubt it. Hey, can never say I wasn't being honest!

About-Lunchbox Reviews is the brainchild of me, Milanie Cleere. The site launched quietly on Friday, August 20th 2010. I'm a wife, a mom and a business owner. While I prefer natural, non-battery operated toys, I begrudgingly realized there are many educational apps for young children. Letting my kids play with an iPod Touch would not make me "that" mom or a bad parent.

I started looking for quality applications and was overwhelmed with the number available. I tried a few that were fantastic and others that were complete duds. Sure, at 99 cents an app, we're not going to break the bank, but the cost of the truly awful apps started to add up.

I wanted a filter, a source for finding quality educational iPhone and iPad apps for young children. And where there's a need... I created Lunchbox Reviews as the de facto resource for finding quality children's mobile apps. I'm a Gen-X, tech-savvy mom who appreciates design and an intuitive UI. I'm someone without a lot of time and care what my children play with. I'm picky.

The reviews you see on this site come from several places. I write reviews when time permits (owning a company and being a mom with two young kids can make that difficult!) and Lunchbox grabs reviews from reputable sources around the internet I trust.
