Nature Babycare Review and Giveaway

About Nature Babycare-It took a concerned Swedish mother to make it--Marlene Sandberg, a former law partner and mother of two boys. "I started my company with the determination to make a high-performance diaper that was more friendly to nature and healthier for the child. Nature Babycare is all of that." After many years of intense work and development, Marlene has created a range of products to include eco-friendly diapers, eco-friendly baby wipes, nursing pads, bibs, and skin-care for babies which are all made from renewable and biodegradable ingredients. So now moms can be rest assured that when they buy Nature Babycare, they are caring for the environment and their child.  Why We're Award-Winning-Our wipes are completely free of chlorine and are made from a biodegradable wood pulp sustainably harvested from our own Scandinavian forests. We chose to use purified water fresh from the lakes and added aloe vera for softness. Our wipes are hypo-allergenic, contain no alcohol and are 100-percent chlorine-free. We even use 100-percent biodegradable packaging based on natural corn chalk. Nature Babycare has been awarded "Best Baby Wipes" for 2006-2007 by Mother & Baby Magazine.  Nature Babycare-the award-winning ECO-diaper-the world needed a better diaper, and made it happen!
ECO Lotion, ECO Wash, ECO Rash Cream, ECO Lightly Scented Wipes and Diapers were kindly sent to us by Nature Babycare to be reviewed.
My Take-ECO Lotion and ECO Wash-These both did the job and did exactly what they said they would. Hey, you never know! The lotion left Gracie’s skin soft and smooth with no scent left behind.  Perfect for those with allergies.  Gracie was squeaky clean with ECO wash. The formula is made with pure glycerin, which means you still get a nice lather without harsh and irritating soaps. Moisturizing ingredients while mild on skin and eyes.
ECO Rash Cream went on just like lotion. My husband even commented that he liked it as well. I liked that with regular use it helped to eliminate irritation and that it went on smoothly and quickly. The tube that it comes in made it very easy to get the last bit that was left at the end.
ECO Lightly Scented Wipes-Like all mothers, you'll want only the best for your baby, including a clean and safe environment for them to grow up in. Nature Babycare Wipes are made of unbleached wood pulp sustainably harvested and are moistened with purified water and natural aloe vera, making them as good for your baby as they are for the environment. Contains aloe vera, 100% chlorine free and hypoallergenic.  They have a durable cloth like feel without excessive moisture that was gentle on Gracie’s sensitive skin. They have a mild scent that not only left her smelling fresh but clean too. Very gentle material- doesn't break down when using it. Light scent is   really nice- different from typical wipes products. We have been using them for almost 2 months and my husband really liked them much better than any other brands we have tried. Only thing is that sometimes the wipes don't separate easily, but the other benefits outweigh this minor problem. Besides, that has happened with a few other brands we tried so for us it wasn’t a big deal.
BONUS-All are 100% biodegradable with 100% recyclable packaging! They have no parabens or harsh ingredients, and  Hypoallergenic.  Kinder and more gentle to your baby and the environment.
Nature Babycare Diapers - the number one selling green diaper on the market! 100% chlorine free, based on biodegradable materials, biodegradable back sheet film based on corn, 100% GM free and 100% biodegradable high loft.

The outer plastic-like layer is made of a compostable/biodegradable corn Bio film. The corn Bio film is composed of cornstarch and biodegradable polyester. The corn used in the diaper is 100% non-genetically modified. The inner tissue is composed of natural tree pulp. The tree pulp is TCF (totally chlorine free). The ink used for printing the leaf design on the diaper is free of heavy metals. Even the packaging material is made of 100% non-genetically modified compostable material. Traditional plastic disposable diapers are composed of petroleum based plastic, whereas with the Nature Babycare diaper, 60% of the content is of biological origin and is biodegradable. These diapers have multiple certifications by OK compost, the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation, and FSC(Forest Stewardship Council) .

You can't beat the low impact on the environment, being biodegradable.  We do not compost our diapers, YET, but with these that is possible. We generally use cloth diapers (for the environment, kindness to baby's bottom, cost savings and overall cuteness) but if you are looking for a night time or one for traveling, Nature Babycare seems to do the job! We definitely feel less guilty throwing these away knowing that they will disappear instead of infecting the earth forever!
When not using cloth, I want diapers that are free of chemicals and harsh materials.  When we first came home with Gracie, we were given name brand disposables that were not earth friendly at all and had harsh chemicals.  Gracie got some really bad rashes which is why I gave all that I had left to ones that needed/wanted them and switched to cloth. For me it's very important what goes and stays on Gracie’s skin. After all if babies spend 24 hrs a day in some kind of diaper, and if they aren’t wearing cloth diapers, their skin doesn’t need to be absorbing dangerous substances. The only con I could find was that they do feel a bit like a paper, but on the inside they are very soft. They work fantastically, look great, are reasonably priced and do far less harm to the environment than other brands.
If you go to Amazon.com you can put these on the subscription plan and save another 15%. Then they become super-affordable, and at that point, they are really less expensive than buying regular diapers in the store. That in itself may convince a few to try them :)
