Weleda Giveaway

It’s all about nature supporting people supporting nature.
Your skin is your largest organ and absorbs up to 60% of what you put on it.  What do you want being absorbed into your body?

Weleda's commitment is to produce medicinal and body care preparations based on the philosophy that humans should live in harmony with nature. Over the past 80 years, Weleda has established a wide range of natural skincare and body care products that are safe, effective, and natural. Today, traditional manufacturing methods and ingredients go hand in hand with stringent quality control and modern pharmaceutical technology. The result is a unique range of products that takes into account the full nature of man.
Natural renewal for timeless beauty.  The 100% organic pomegranate seed oil in our new Regenerating Body Care product line helps to promote skin renewal, protects against skin-damaging environmental influences and enhances your skin’s vitality and natural radiance.  We believe nature offers everything we need to create effective beauty and wellness products. Look through our list of ingredients and you won’t find one unpronounceable synthetic compound or one toxic chemical.  You will find flowers and herbs. Fruit extracts. Clays. Roots. Minerals. Each one carefully selected to heal, protect and beautify, to work with your body’s own healing systems, and do it all gently and effectively.

Pomegranates have been found to deliver a variety of health benefits due to its antioxidant action. They are rich in ellagic acid, which can help to prevent damage related to free radicals. As well, pomegranate seed oil contains punicic acid, an anti inflammatory ingredient that can aid cell regeneration and proliferation. Cosmetics manufacturers are always looking for newer, better, more effective ingredients that can be used to improve the skin. It’s not a simple process. Many ingredients claim to provide benefits, yet only a few are supported by scientific studies. While it doesn’t mean that ingredients lacking clinical studies are necessarily ineffective, it does mean that we should perhaps think twice about rushing to the cosmetics counter to part with our hard earned money. Pomegranate is one such ingredient, resting at a crossroads. A recent study from the University of Michigan Medical School, published in the February 2006 Journal of Ethnopharmacology, shows that pomegranate seed oil helps stimulate skin cell regeneration.

My Take-All three products that I was sent to review are amazing! Weleda’s Pomegranate line is proven effective at helping to prevent and reverse the premature signs of aging such as dryness, decreased elasticity and age spots.  This is done with 100% organic pomegranate seed oil and other all natural ingredients.  No chemicals needed to prevent the signs of aging. Woo Hoo!
All have a fruity scent that isn’t overpowering at all. The anti-oxidant rich organic Pomegranate seed oil works deep & softened my dry & itchy skin. BONUS-you don’t need to use much of any of them so of course that save money!

Pomegranate Creamy Body Wash invigorates you with cleansing moisture and antioxidant-loaded, organic pomegranate seed oil to reveal nurtured skin that is soft to the touch. Does not foam up like other body wash brands but it does work! Cleans without stripping your body’s natural oils-with out over drying and has a fruity scent. It felt like my skin was being pampered by silk on my skin while nourishing it at the same time.
Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil (this was my favorite) comes in a cobalt glass container that I really liked.  Once it has been used up, I know I will be repurposing it. My husband didn’t care for the glass but only because he was concerned that Gracie would get a hold of it and break it.  All I had to do, like any other product I own that her little hands don’t need to get into, was place it out of her reach. It took me a couple times to get in the habit of using body oil right after I bathed, but once I did I saw that it left my skin smooth, glowing and very well hydrated. So much so that I didn’t have to use body lotion if I chose to skip it. When pouring the oil out of the no-drip cap, no oil was left to run down the sides. It goes on thick so it is best to use BEFORE you towel off. Besides it absorbing better and needing less, it goes on much smoother this way. Pomegranate body oil is clinically proven to accelerate natural cell renewal by 50%!
Pomegranate Regenerating Hand Cream-Provides active protection and care to hands that are regularly exposed to skin-damaging influences. The rich, yet easily absorbed cream firms and renews while offering the same sweet pomegranate scent. It increases the moisture in the skin on your hands by up to 34%, clinically proven to reduce roughness by 9%.
After using all three nightly for three weeks now, I still feel that after each bath I have been pampered, relaxed like I had been to a spa, and a bit yummy with the subtle scent of pomegranate. All proven effective to help prevent and reverse visible signs of aging, such as dryness, diminished elasticity in the skin and age spots and do so safely.

    39. Actually that is a popular misconception... that ALL products on the market are tested for saftey. They actually aren't and that's part of the problem in the Beauty and Personal Care industry in the US. We need regualtion!
