About-Wild Dill was founded by Jennifer, wife and mother of wild men. Jennifer was inspired by her amazing son Dylan, to start a store that reflected his sense of curiosity and wonder for everything that is natural and wild. Wild Dill carries only natural, organic, fair trade, made in the USA/Europe, or recycled, clothing, toys, bedding and furniture for babies and toddlers. Be sure to check out Wild Dill’s Why Organic, Fair, Natural tab to learn more on why Wild Dill cares about bamboo fabric, soy fiber, fair trade and organic clothing, bedding and toys.
For this review Wild Dill sent me their Green Toys Blocks. I have reviewed Green Toys stacking blocks, feeding utensils, and bowl in the past, (HERE) so I was excited to try out the blocks as well. I am happy to say that Gracie gave them a thumbs up. Well, she tried to at least :)
Green Toys Blocks are the world's most environmentally friendly basic building set. All 18 boldly colored blocks are oversized and lightweight, making it super easy for tiny hands to stack and unstack.
This unique block set includes a variety of shapes for building castles, towers, or any imaginative structure budding architects can dream up. Most importantly, Green Toys Blocks are safe. No BPA, PVC, phthalates or external coatings, but plenty of Good Green FunTM. These blocks are made in the USA from 100% recycled plastic milk containers that save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Packaged using only recycled and recyclable materials and printed with soy inks.
My Take-When my boys were young, they loved their legos. Now that I have a daughter who is growing up green, these blocks from Green Toys are the better choice for us. Green Toys Blocks rely on a baby’s imagination which obviously has no limits. The variety in shapes, sizes and colors has allowed endless possibilities for Gracie. They have held up very well over the last few weeks-Gracie has chewed on them, thrown them, banged them together and stacked them to the best of her ability. The pieces are large and chunky, which made them perfect for Gracie’s little hands to manipulate. Smooth with no corners or sharp edges. They are dishwasher safe and being large makes them easy to sanitize. While they don't snap together the same as my boys legos did, the large knobs/bumps on them do align well which keep them together and are actually the better option for Gracie.
I would recommend choosing these blocks over any other other blocks that I have tried because they are not only safe and fun but Eco-friendly which as you all know, I feel is extremely important!
