A stylish new option for the entire family and a safe alternative to plastic drink ware!  There is a wide range of options for those still not quite sure about using glass baby bottles and cups plus you can use them on jars of baby food.  I wish I had known about that when Gracie was starting to reach for everything.  A couple jars got broken before I started to remove the food and place into another dish.  If I had known about Silikids that would have saved me from having to wash extra dishes. As a mom, that little bit of free time can really help!

Glass is the cleanest option for drinking and it's great because it's reusable and recyclable.  The 6 oz. juice glass is perfect for kids learning to drink from a "big kid" cup.  

Silikids offer larger sizes as well which are great for people looking to use glass outside by the pool, deck or even inside. The Siliskin sleeve is made from food grade silicone and is BPA-free, hypo-allergenic and dishwasher safe. Skins can be removed from the glass for washing and are easy to put back on, although not necessary to take off with every cleaning. There are small bumps on it that made the glass easier to grip and less likely to be dropped. Better to be safe than sorry, right? The sleeve goes nearly to the top so if it did get dropped off the table it may break but is perfect for those accidental spills on the table. These glasses are available in sets of 4 that include a variety of colors which makes it easy to tell which glass belongs to who.  I don’t know about your family but my son uses a glass for just a drink a water and places it in the sink. ??? 

ABOUT SILICONE

Silicone is non-toxic and hypo allergenic.  Silicone has few open pores, so it does not harbor or promote bacteria or fungus growth.  Because of its high heat resistance, silicone can be boiled to sterilize, is dishwasher safe, and washer and dryer safe.  Silicone does not fade or retain odor and is sturdy and easy to clean. 

Due to recent concerns regarding BPA, many parents are switching to BPA free children’s products.  Silicone is the perfect solution. Silicone does not contain toxic chemicals like bisphenol-A, lead, PVC and phthalates.  Silicone is made of silicon, a natural element present in sand, quartz and rock, which after oxygen, is the most abundant element on earth.  Silicon is transformed into silicone when combined with oxygen, carbon and hydrogen.  As it is an inert material, it does not react with food or beverages, or produce any hazardous fumes.  It’s non-toxic, hypo allergenic, does not promote bacteria or fungus growth and does not transmit taste to food.

Silicone does not decompose but is recyclable at specialty recycling facilities.  If you can’t locate one nearby, just send Silikids products back to the company and they’ll recycle it for you!  Remember, Silicone is extremely durable so you will not have to worry about disposal for a long time.
