Westcoast Baby Giveaway!

Functional and Hip Baby clothes~ Organic Layette Take me home Outfits!

I was approached by Westcoast Baby to do a review plus a giveaway but because Gracie is too big already to wear what Westcoast Baby had to offer :( this had to turn into a giveaway only. If she had been just a few months younger I would have jumped at the offer to do a review as well. Besides the fabric being soft and made from bamboo, the variety of colors is what I liked  was not only did they offer pastels but bold colors as well-a total of 8 colors to choose from!


Reminder-Bamboo is naturally "Green", ecologically friendly, breathable and cool, naturally antibacterial, odor resistant, non-toxic and non-irritating, with natural wicking properties so please consider bamboo alternatives when purchasing items.  It's readily renewable, sustainable and still seems to have a lot less environmental impact than chemical-ridden crops, destruction of old growth forests and petroleum-derived materials.

About-Westcoast Baby was founded in 2004 by Amanda Moat and Nicole Vaslot while on maternity leave with their second children.  Inspired by their new beautiful babies and the lack of practical but stylish layette items they began their venture with Westcoast Baby.
Captivating in both design and color, Vancouver B.C.'s Westcoast Baby has designed the New Beginnings Layette line of clothing for infants.  Westcoast Baby has taken traditional Japanese shapes and vintage practicality and added a whimsy of funky color.




Why is the bottom of the Kimono Wrap open with no ties?  They designed their kimono specifically for brand new babies.  They were unimpressed by the baby gowns provided by the hospital and wanted to create something as simple as that but much more hip with the same amount of functionality.  Oh and of course, they wanted something softer.  As the majority of newborns are swaddled there is no need to have a drawstring at the bottom.  They wanted a gown that didn’t have to be placed over babies heads and that was ultimately the easiest thing to put on your newborn.

  33. I've long-admired their clothes since the birth of my son 2 years ago, especially their kimonos and the Sprout pants. The designs are so simple and classic.

  40. Their clothing looks very simple & comfortable for babies. I just learned that bamboo fabrics are breathable, have natural wicking properties, and are naturally antibacterial. Sounds great for my baby granddaughter's skin.
