Why Organic?

1. Social responsibility: We all need to do our part to keep our planet clean. Chemicals and pesticides invade drinking water and groundwater, polluting its fish and even reaching human consumption. Organic cotton grows without any pesticides or toxins.

2. Biodegradable: Organic cotton biodegrades naturally over time. Synthetic fibers, such as polyester, eventually become waste and let o harmful toxins when they degrade.

3. Touch: Many people are allergic or dislike wearing synthetic textiles. Organic cotton has all the properties of the new synthetic breathable fibers with added softness and drape. Organic dyes & organic cotton feel better against the skin.

4. Absorption: Not only do its chemicals reach into our groundwater, conventional clothing is worn next to our most porous organ- our skin. If nicotine, birth control medication and other drugs are absorbed through patches on our skin, how can we assume that we do not absorb the chemicals in our clothing? Organic cotton  is natural & Eco-friendly dyes and do not contain irritating chemicals. Many of them are also considered hypoallergenic and naturally anti-bacterial.

While we don’t claim to be flawless, we take great pride in the efforts we have made, and will continue to make in developing a high quality product.  We only use the softest combed certified organic yarns, the highest standards of sewing construction for the longest wearability; and most importantly the best fit.  All or garments are washed to prevent shrinkage. Every meter of fabric is checked with a light box to ensure optimal quality by both the spinner as well as once it reaches the sewing team.  Certifications-Our cotton & dyes are certified according to Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS). It is the most widely recognized international standards covering all aspects of textile processing and environmentally-socially responsible manufacturing. Dyes are equally important, and therefore is certified Eco-friendly. Our dyes do not contain heavy metals or toxic substances and have a high fixation (or absorption) rate, which means using less dye to generate our colors.

I was sent two tees to review and really liked them both. So much that I now have my eye set on the turtle neck but more about that after my review. 

My Take-Both are available in many colors which were made with certified Eco-friendly dyes and at a good price point for organic shirts. Long sleeve crew neck is 23.00 and comes in seven colors, and the scoop neck cap sleeve is 18.99 and comes in ten! Both are soft, smooth, comfortable and obviously nice looking too!  They are enzyme washed which makes for a super soft hand feel.  Premium stitching and taped shoulder to shoulder for added durability. The shirts have a slightly tapered fit in the body with a longer shirt length that I love. Perfect for mom's that don't want their muffin tops showing when they bend over or their choice in underwear :o 

The long sleeve is great for wearing under sweaters and when layered with the classic short sleeved  t-shirt  for extra warmth.  Because I am having some hormonal issues (UGH) I wore the short sleeve under a cardigan so that when I would get a “heat rush” the cardigan was easier to take off. 

After putting the shirts through the washing machine and dryer, I wore the shirts again to see how they performed. I was very pleased with how both shirts washed and dried. They are preshrunk for minimal shrinkage and even though they still did a little, it was minimal and proportional. These tess wrinkled no more but less than your standard 100% cotton t-shirt.

Some think organic is expensive but you do get what you pay for.   Nice tees with a peace of mine. 

I really have my heart set on the turtle neck next.  Look at the style it has! Buttons on the sleeves, rouching on the side and small pleats on the front of the neck really give a turtle neck some much needed flair.  All for just $28.99!
