Eco-Foil Pans Review and Giveaway!

A Greener Planet Starts With You!
We all want to do our part to live a little greener. To be more environmentally conscious, and make decisions that are more ecologically friendly. To help protect the earth for our families, our children, and future generations to come. Eco-Foil is a simple and easy way to start!
Eco-Foil is a revolutionary new foilware product designed to give consumers like you a convenient and affordable way to reduce your carbon footprint, live greener lifestyles, and do your part for the environment!  Not only is it made from 100% recycled aluminum, but it is also 100% recyclable after use — making it part of a phenomenon called "closed-loop recycling." When you purchase and use recycled Eco-Foil products, and then put them in your recycling bin to get recycled again, you complete the cycle.  The aluminum is then re-made into another new recycled pan and the cycle just goes on and on and on!  You never have to worry about waste or harm to the environment.  Simply remember to put Eco-Foil in your recycle bin after use, and you'll be making a difference, every time!
Eco-Foil offers a variety of products to choose from, including roasters, baking pans, and a broad line of favorites ranging from King Roaster® with handles (a Handi-Foil exclusive) to the Cook-N-Carry® line of pans with lids. All made from 100% recycled materials — even the plastic lids. Eco-Foil is the perfect eco-friendly choice for all your baking, roasting or grilling needs —and a great way for you to save natural resources and protect our earth, one pan at a time.  You can find Eco-Foil at major grocery chains and mass market retailers nationwide where Handi-Foil is sold. If your local retailer isn't carrying Eco-Foil yet, tell them you care — and ask them for Eco-Foil products today!
Did You Know
Aluminum is the only recyclable material that can be recycled an indefinite number of times without breaking down and it will still have the same quality properties as the first time it was created. It is also one of the easiest and fastest materials to recycle. Proof that the more we recycle, and use 100% recycled products like Eco-Foil, the more of a difference we can make, every single day.  Choosing Eco-Foil is just one great way for you to do your part toward a greener lifestyle.
Recycling Is The Key To Our Planet's Sustainability
  • Recycling conserves our valuable natural resources.
  • Recycling saves energy.
  • Recycling saves clean air and clean water.
  • Recycling saves landfill space.
  • Recycling can save money and create jobs.
Recycling is a win-win for the individuals, communities and the environment! And Eco-Foil is now a significant part of the process to help make a difference for generations to come. Learn more about the benefits of recycling at Earth911.com.
Recycling it one of the easiest and most effective things that you can do every day to help make a sustainable difference for our environment, the economy and your community. So always put your recyclables out for curbside pickup or take them to your local drop-off or buy-back center. To learn about the recycling efforts in your local neighborhood, visit Curbside Value Partnership at recyclecurbside.org.

Fun Facts About Recycling
  • 37% of American households recycle … regularly
  • In 2006, the nation recycled 82 million tons of household products.
  • Aluminum is one of the easiest and fastest materials to recycle.
  • Aluminum is the only material that is endlessly recyclable – without ever breaking down or compromising the quality of the metal.
  • Aluminum begins to melt at a phenomenally high 1220 degrees Fahrenheit — purifying the metal of any impurities.
  • Recycling not only transforms waste into valuable resources, but also benefits the environment by helping our air, water, and land stay cleaner.
  • Every minute of everyday, an average of 105,800 aluminum cans are recycled.
  • America recycled enough aluminum cans last year to stretch to the moon and back 8 times.
  • The average American family consumes 182 gallons of soda, 29 gallons of juice, 104 gallons of milk and 26 gallons of bottled water per year … all of which are recyclable.
  • Americans use 85,000,000 tons of paper a year: about 680 pounds per person.
So remember to recycle all your aluminum and plastic, every day, including aluminum pans, trays and foil, plastic bottles, bags and frozen food trays too!
My Take-First of all, I want to mention that my parents and grandparents always reused all of their foil products, including tin foil so it was nice to learn about Eco-foil basically doing the same thing.  I’m pretty sure my family didn’t reuse it for environmental reasons but instead to save money, but the end results were the same. It makes me proud to have learned many things from both my family and eco-foil on ways to be GREEN.  Eco-foil has a great site that includes GREEN TIPS, so be sure to check it out. Now then-on to my review and how I used one.
My youngest son was graduating from HS so I thought it would be nice to invite a few people over after the ceremony for a little get together to help celebrate. This group included us 4, of course, his older brother and girlfriend, my 87 year old dad (who flew in from MS), his aunt (my ex-sister in-law who flew in from FL), Jesse’s father, his step mom and her son, his good friend, Rob, who graduated with him and his teacher from 2nd grade that we have been friends with since then. Yes, it was very stressful trying to get everything ready especially when I decide to do this the day of!  Anyhow, Jesse’s paternal grandmother used to make him a banana cake that Jesse just loved but because it calls for shortening not only in the batter but also in the frosting, I hadn’t made it since he was in elementary school.  Being that this was a special occasion, I thought this would be the perfect time to make it again. I started by choosing one of the 13 x 9 pans with lid.

To be on the safe side, I did grease the pan a bit. Do you think I took a chance at making it in one of the pans that were sent to me from Eco-foil?  Maybe, but as you can see, all turned out just the way it should have.

It didn’t stick to the sides, the pan wasn’t too thin at all so it didn’t burn (surprise, surprise) and stayed moist with the handy lid it came with. Whew!

What made it even nicer was that I was able to send it, as is with no worries of losing one of my other pans, with Jesse and Rob the next day when they decided to head over to a buddies house. Yes, the cake was a big hit, but I was more than willing to send it along so my arteries could stay unclogged a little longer.  No what surprised me?

Jesse ended up bringing it back, along with a tiny piece left, so that I could have that last piece, wash it and reuse :) Maybe they do hear you when you think they don’t?  Notice how no batter stuck to the pan which made clean up easy!
I plan on using it and the roaster when we attend a picnic for families who either adopted or were adopted. Yes, if you didn’t know that about us, we adopted a newborn 20 months ago, so yes, I will be doing it all over again in about 16 years. As long as my hubby stays on track, at least no ex’s will be involved in that one. I hope! JUST KIDDING HONEY!! :) Always the kidder.
